About MH
MH | The Movement Method is the culmination of all the knowledge, training, teaching and life experience that I have gathered while in this industry and honestly in this life!
I have had the privilege of working with some of the most brilliant practitioners and learning from amazing mentors. I’ve had injuries that I have to overcome, life obstacles thrown at me and all of it has contributed how I approach teaching and how I train my clients. I’ve learned over the past 10 years, that it isn’t all or nothing, and it can’t be just one thing. Which is why I say my programming is Pilates inspired, not just Pilates. Pilates is the basis of this work. My Pilates training as a client and as an instructor is what lights my soul on fire. The ability to slow down, control the movements, dive deeper into the anatomy and using your breathe to go even deeper is why I love this work. But what I also know and what has helped me in my own healing journey is that heavier weights are so important. Moving functionally for what we do in life is so important. Knowing why and how your body works is so important, and honestly knowing why you need it and how it’s actually benefiting you is important. That knowledge and connection can give you a why and help you stay consistent. That is what MH | The Movement Method is about. We also have fun, because if it’s not fun what are we doing!
